Here’s to New Love and Family

“Dear N, you are 100% my new favorite cousin. Welcome to the family!”

That’s what my daughter wrote in the wedding guest book.

Last weekend we attended a family wedding in Rochester Hills, Michigan. My goodness, it was so terrific to spend such quality family time together, in such a beautiful place, and for such a happy occasion. We danced our booties off.

The hotel was spotless. The flowers were epic. And their vows were personal. N, the bride, said the wedding met or exceeded everything she had hoped for since she started planning her big day at ten years old. In her words, “it was a fairytale come true” :)

My fantastic nephew married his college sweetheart. They’ve been together since freshman year when they met in the dining hall. N is delightful, sharp as a tack, funny, thoughtful and very warm. Her family flew in from all over Europe.

There was zero drama before, during and after the wedding.
