There’s never only one way to conduct an interview

Multiple options to gather feedback.jpg

These are some of the google image search results for “purple shoes illustration.”

It’s a fun way to underscore that there is never, ever only "one way" to gather feedback or conduct a user research interview. There is "no one right answer."

Every instance should be adapted to the context of your specific situation.

You should consider your problem space, client, stakeholders, team, product/topic, question set, timing, stimuli, recruit, participants, what's culturally relevant, and your individual style.

That's just one of the things I love about working as a user experience researcher and UX educator!

Tonight in my Curiosity Tank workshop called Interview we'll be diving into these nuances and considerations and more.
